In just two years, we’ve shifted from hosting impromptu art and wine gatherings to working with major developers and hoteliers at rooftop parties. On June 8th we will benefit from a major fashion fundraiser. The press exposure is excellent; MillionTreesNYC is what makes our organization so attractive.

The Junior Committee’s mission is to bring the new leaders of NYC, who, on top of successful careers, have committed themselves to the outcome of our future environment. One of the most incredible aspects of the Strand Hotel party: all of the proceeds (approximately $5500) will to toward MillionTreesNYC.

Reasons to visit Strand: Don Glassie, the owner, is an environmentalist. The Strand Hotel is a green hotel right off Bryant Park, which makes it THE place for drinks after your HBO Summer Series movie on the park. The Top of the Strand atmosphere, created by set designer Lydia Marks of Sex in the City, is HOT!
